Manganese steel
We took the ordinary tension bushings to the next level. These well known bushings are widely used in agriculture machinery and excavators. But the ordinary ones hardly operate as sliding bearings.
So we added unique features, where our manganese steel bushing:
- close completely after pressing in an H7 housing (no remaining gap of the slit)
- machined sliding surface to match the shaft
- redesigned clearance for smooth operation
- x shaped groove for optimal grease transfer
- solid lubricant running-in layer to reduce wear from the start

Material
Made of boron-alloyed steel (37MnB4) which is a material with exceptional abrasion resistance. The steel is tempered to between 44-54 HRc. After hardening, the material has a very fine-grain structure which makes it easy to machine.
Lubrication
Additional lubrication is necessary for optimal lifespan and performance. We recommend The bearings are surface treated with MoS2 providing protection against corrosion while it also serves as initial lubricant during start-up process.
